Dear Brother,
Mr. Boe has now be[e]n to St[evens]. Point and settled with the Probate Judge and divided the Personal property and the income of the Farm for the year 1883. A copy of his figures wil[l] be seen on page 3 & 4 after all expenses wer[e] paid, the personal property amounted to $189.29. Elsa's share being $94.14, but Mr. Boe charged $4.00 for the feather bed that you got. I think it is to[o] high but he says no, and that leaves you $90.14. The income of the farm for last year amounts to $49.25. Carl reseves [sic] 1/4 more than Else leaving her $18.09. Then there is some feed and Wall[?] curbing sold of which Elsa's share amounts to $7.58. Total amount $115.81 for which send me rece[i]pt the money sent by Express to your address to day [sic]. In line of news I can tell that our cousin Mrs. C. K. Anderson (Olena Roe) died in child birth last Sunday 8 o'clock a.m. and was berid [sic] yesterday, the child is also dead.
Ole Roe
Our best respects to you all.
